Do you already have an allotment on the Moorpool Estate or would you like one? The Moorpool Allotment Association has been formed to encourage the use of the historic allotments on the estate. We have Full membership available for anyone already working an allotment here or Associate for those wishing to support us or waiting for an allotment. In anticipation of possibly managing the letting of allotments in the future we now have an allotment tenancy application form which we will submit to Grainger on your behalf and which can be downloaded here. Complete the form, return to me and the MAA will do the rest.

Located under the Moor Pool Hall, the skittle alley celebrates its Centenary in 2011. Moor Pool Skittles Club is believed to be the only club left in Britain with both a flat and a rounded skittle alley side by side. The original bowls are of various sizes to suit the players choice. Although actively used for club meetings and social events the alleys require extensive restoration. A Trust would seek funding to restore the fabric of the building and enable continued use of the alleys by one of Moor Pools oldest clubs.

    Queens Park Sinfonia

Since its formation in 2002 the Midlands-based Queen's Park Sinfonia has quickly established itself as one of the New Generation of exciting chamber orchestras in the UK. The Queen's Park Sinfonia offers the wealth of talented young graduate musicians in the region the opportunity to develop in a professional environment.

Often collaborating with highly acclaimed soloists and performing in prestigious venues, the orchestra allows its members to perform with like-minded professionals in supportive and creative surroundings. As a youthful ensemble we strive to create performances that are both challenging and satisfying to musicians and audiences alike.

The Victorain Society - Birmingham & West Midlands Group

The aims of the Victorian Society are threefold:
    a. to prevent the needless destruction and alteration of buildings of architectural and historic interest, built between 1837 and 1914.

    b. to learn about Victorian and Edwardian architecture.

    c. to enjoy more about this fascinating and vital part of our past
Besides architecture, the Victorian Society covers all aspects of the culture, the decorative arts and history of the period. Members of the Victorian Society enjoy a wide range of talks and lectures, site visits, tours and walks.

We are a regional group which restricts its casework to the West Midlands, though our lectures and visits are only restricted to the Victorian period.
